About this file
This document is an exhibit detailing the hardware, software, and data processing procedures required for a federal contract opportunity. The key details are:
The contractor must provide a Personal Data Recorder (PDR) meeting specific technical specifications, including a Trimble Ranger 7, Juniper Systems Allegro MX/Allegro 2, or other models with a minimum of 128MB RAM and 8GB flash storage. The contractor must also provide a personal computer with a Windows 10 operating system, Java 8 Update 121 or later, Microsoft Office 2013 or later, Microsoft Teams, and internet access to interact with the FIA database. Additionally, the contractor must provide a GPS unit capable of averaging and a survey grade GNSS unit that can collect L1 and L2 frequencies and data from both GPS and GLONASS satellite constellations.
The data processing procedures require the contractor to use the government-provided data recorder software, download the latest historical data files, resolve all errors/critical warnings, and upload the completed plots to the MIDAS website. The software may be updated during the contract period, and the contractor must login to the MIDAS website to receive updates before editing, processing, and uploading the plots.
