SUMMARY OF WORK

PART 1 – GENERAL

1.1 LOCATION

The project is located within Coconino County, Arizona on the Flagstaff Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest. The project site is located at 5075 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, Arizona, which is on the north and east side of the Flagstaff, Arizona. The project site is within the city limits of Flagstaff.

To reach the site, take Interstate 17 to Exit #201 (Country Club) and head northeast on State Route 89.

Drive northeast on SR 89 for approximately 0.6 miles to the Ranger Station entrance.

The project site is more specifically described as follows:

SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 06, T. 21 N, R. 8 E, Gila and Salt River Meridian

The site lies at approximately 7,000 feet elevation. The construction season is year-round.

1.2 DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

1.2.1 General

The project consists of minor demolition, electrical design and repairs of the Flagstaff Ranger Station main office building according to the requirements as described in the contract specifications and as depicted on the contract drawings.

The project includes the electrical design and repair/construction work on a 7,900 square foot main office building. Optional design and electrical repair/construction work for some additional parking lot lights and electric entrance gate.

The project includes the electrical design and repair/construction for several electrical outlets and data communication for open office areas currently being used as cubicles. The existing outlets and communications stuff are in the concrete floors in undesirable locations creating safety issues for employees. The preferred option would be to have them relocated to a pony wall or pole in desirable locations to make the most of the space. Optional work will include electrical design and location of 2-3 exterior light poles for employee parking on the north side of the building to improve safety for employees while meeting the City of Flagstaff Dark Skies regulations. Other optional work will include electrical design and for an electric gate at the front entrance to meet similar standards across the forest.
