About this file
This is an Exhibit 1 Technical Specifications document from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for fence repair services on ODOT property. The project involves various fence repair and modification tasks prioritized in a seven-item list, including the Huntington Sand Shed fence modification, Lime fence repair, gate removals and replacements at MP 365WB and MP 344.4 WB, I-84 fence repairs, and chain link fence replacement at the North Ontario Interchange. The work must be completed by June 15, 2025, and requires adherence to the 2024 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction and Standard Drawings RD810 and RD815. The contractor must work through the priority list sequentially from items 1-6, with item 7 dependent on remaining funding availability.
The project includes specific requirements for equipment staging near paved shoulders, coordination with property owners regarding livestock containment, and mandatory underground utility locates. Payment terms vary by task type, with some items paid on a lump sum basis (such as mobilization and Huntington Sand Shed modification), others on a linear foot basis (gate removal and replacement), and vandalized fence repair paid per occurrence. ODOT notes that funding may not be sufficient to complete priority list item 7, and the quantities for this item may be adjusted based on available funding after completing items 1-6.

Sections of the technical specifications not identified below remain applicable to the Contract according to their original terms. Part 00100 of the Standard Specifications (General Conditions) is not applicable to the Contract; however, if a technical specification (Parts 200 and beyond) references a section from Part 00100, that section from Part 00100 applies to the Contract for purposes of supporting and giving full effect to the technical specification.
