About this file

This document is an Exhibit 1 statistical report for Orange County Refugee Social Services (RSS) that provides detailed demographic data on refugee populations receiving assistance in Orange County, California. The statistical tables cover Federal Fiscal Years (FFY) from 2020-21 to 2023-24, tracking Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) and non-aided refugee clients across multiple countries of origin. The data breaks down refugee populations by country, showing the number of individuals receiving services, with Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Cuba representing the top countries with the most refugees served.

The report includes two primary statistical tables: one detailing overall RSS statistics and another focusing on the Older Refugee Population (Services for Older Refugees or SOR). For the current partial fiscal year (FFY 2023-24), the data shows 362 RCA clients and 58 non-aided clients, totaling 1,281 individuals across various countries. The Older Refugee Population section reveals 28 SOR clients in the current period, with Ukraine having the highest number at 21 clients. The document notes some data incompleteness for earlier years, specifically for country of birth information in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 fiscal years.
