About this file
This document is a detailed Statement of Work (SOW) for exhaust systems cleaning for the United States Coast Guard Cutter WYACONDA, located in St. Louis, MO. The comprehensive cleaning project involves five specific work items: cleaning port and starboard Main Diesel Engine (MDE) exhaust piping, port and starboard Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) exhaust piping, Tender Boiler exhaust piping, Barge Boiler exhaust piping, and Barge Diesel Engine exhaust piping. The project is scheduled to begin on 30 March 2025 and complete by 4 April 2025, with work hours from 0700-1500 at the CG Schlimme Industrial Facility.
The solicitation (Number 70Z02925QNEWO072D) is issued by the Department of Homeland Security US Coast Guard and seeks qualified contractors to perform thorough cleaning and inspection of the vessel's exhaust systems. Contractors must meticulously clean interior exhaust piping surfaces, removing soot, tar, and foreign matter, and must follow strict safety and environmental regulations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-price qualified bidder, with requirements including EPA certification, proper waste disposal, and comprehensive visual and bore scope inspections. Potential contractors must be registered in sam.gov with a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), and the SOW includes specific details about protective measures, operational testing, and post-cleaning preservation requirements.
