About this file

This is a draft plans document for the C-44 Seepage Management Feature Relief Wells project, a component of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) located in Martin County, Florida. The project involves the construction of approximately 126 groundwater pressure relief wells adjacent to the C-44 reservoir embankment on approximately 12,000 acres of land directly north of Citrus Boulevard and the C-44 Canal, positioned between Lake Okeechobee and the Atlantic Ocean. The work scope includes constructing relief wells at prescribed locations, installing well outfall systems consisting of precast manholes, pipes, and discharge end sections to drain into the adjacent canal, and documenting all construction, development, and pump testing activities.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, is conducting advanced industry engagement sessions to solicit feedback on project capabilities and innovative solutions. This special notice (W912EP26Z1CR9) represents a two-way dialogue opportunity where the Government will present specific project challenges and seek industry input on technical approaches, technological advances, and best commercial practices to meet project objectives. The engagement is designed to inform the design plans and specifications for Contract A of this relief wells project, with work activities occurring throughout the current C-44 Reservoir site adjacent to the perimeter canal in Martin County, Florida.
