NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER DAHLGREN DIVISION (NSWCDD)
OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENT EVENTS AND CEREMONIES
STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
1.0 BACKGROUND
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) through the public affairs office is responsible for internal and external communications to promote an engagement strategy, development, and execution. The NSWCDD is responsible to host multiple events to engage both internal and external Contractors, Civilians, and
Industry Partners. There are typically six (6) large events per year.
Internal engagement to the workforce is necessary as it maintains an informed workforce, builds morale, creates vision, and promotes dialog.
The NSWCDD is a research and development organization providing innovative solutions to address warfighter needs and sustaining the mission of delivering warfare systems, protecting the nation and defeating adversaries. It is essential to engage, collaborate and communicate with industry partners.
This statement of work is for the rental of a venue to host events and ceremonies in support of internal and external engagement efforts.
2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

3.0 REQUIREMENTS
3.1 The Contractor shall provide one (1) entrance area to
accommodate a registration (8- foot covered/skirted table with
2 chairs).
3.2 The Contractor shall provide two (2) rooms for smaller break-out meetings or working area.
3.3 The Contractor shall provide a display area with up to twenty-four (24) covered/skirted 8-foot tables.
3.4 The contractor shall have capability to support audio visual.
3.5 The contractor shall have adequate parking for attendees.
3.6 The contractor shall provide an existing structure within a thirty-mile radius of NSWCDD.
3.7 The facility shall be clean, well lit and professional in appearance.
3.8 The facility shall meet or exceed all handicap accessible requirements in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA) of 1990 and Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) standards compliance.
3.9 Space/Venue type
Dependent on the event, the contractor shall provide the following space:
3.9.1 Venue Type A
One (1) room to seat up to 500 utilizing a theater style set-up with a stage and lectern.
3.9.2 Venue Type B
One (1) room to seat up to 1000 utilizing a theater style set-up with a stage and lectern.
3.9.3 Venue Type C
One (1) room to seat up to 500 utilizing a banquet style set-up with a stage and lectern.
3.9.4 Venue Type D
One (1) room to seat up to 1000 utilizing a banquet style set-up with a stage and lectern.
4.0 Place of Performance
The facility shall be located within a 30-mile radius of NSWCDD located in Dahlgren, Virginia.
