About this file
This is an amendment notice from the City of Boston's Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture regarding the RFP for the AiR Boston Program - Resident Artist Professional Services (EV00017855). The amendment corrects two issues in the original RFP document posted October 13, 2026: it updates a hyperlink for the Optional Pre-Proposal Q&A Conference Call that was previously directed to an outdated URL, and it clarifies that the conference call will be conducted solely via Zoom rather than through both Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The corrected RFP documents are available on the Supplier Portal in both Microsoft Word and PDF formats with the filename beginning with "v1_1_RFP_BostonAiR_Resident Artist Services." The City seeks three resident artists for one-year contracts running from February 1 through December 17, 2027, with proposals due January 4, 2027 at 2:00 PM. A mandatory pre-proposal Q&A conference is scheduled for November 10, 2026, with vendor interviews anticipated January 10-19, 2027, and contractor selection estimated for January 22, 2027. Two optional one-year renewal periods are available at the City's discretion.
The estimated annual contract value is $52,000 per resident artist, with payment structured on phased deliverables and milestones. Minimum qualifications require five years of professional artist experience, at least five Boston-area projects, commitment to 15-20 hours per week, and daily commute capability to Boston. The City's Wage Theft Prevention Certification Form (CM-16) is mandatory, requiring certification of compliance with Massachusetts wage and hour law and the Fair Labor Standards Act. The City provides operational support including a program manager, facilitator, professional development, meeting space access, insurance coverage, administrative support, and up to $30,000 in materials and community engagement budget over one year. Proposers must submit separate technical and price proposals with pricing information excluded from technical submissions or face rejection. Questions regarding this amendment should be directed to deen.rawlinsharris@boston.gov.

NOTICE to Bidders of the following amendment to Supplier Portal event EV00017855 - REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: AiR Boston Program - Resident Artist
Professional Services
On the original version of the RFP document posted to the Supplier Portal with a start date of October 13th, 2026, in the Important Dates section, the hyperlink for the Optional Pre-Proposal Q&A Conference Call directed to an out-of-date link for the Conference Call.
The text of the link itself was accurate, and is the URL for the Conference Call; only the formatted hyperlink was incorrect.
As of today, October 16th, 2026, the hyperlink within the RFP document has been amended to accurately direct users to the Conference Call.
In addition, the ‘Event’ column entry under the Important Dates section has been amended.
“Optional Pre-Proposal Q&A Conference Call Location | Zoom/Teams link” has been amended to read “Optional Pre-Proposal Q&A Conference Call Location | Zoom link”, in order to reflect that the Conference Call will be conducted solely via Zoom, and not Microsoft Teams.
The amended RFP documents can be found attached to EV00017855 on the Supplier Portal under the filename beginning with “v1_1_RFP_BostonAiR_Resident Artist Services” in both Microsoft Word (docX) and Adobe Reader (PDF) formats.
