About this file

This is a Statement of Interest (SOI) template document from the U.S. Embassy Ethiopia's Public Diplomacy Section for FY2025 grant opportunities. The template supports grant solicitation PDS-004-FY2025, which offers cooperative agreements and grants across eight thematic areas: economic/political reforms, mis/disinformation identification, STEAM promotion, engaging underrepresented populations, IDP reintegration, election support, civic engagement, and environmental protection.

The template requires applicants to provide organizational information, requested funding amount, program details including goals and objectives, monitoring plans, and sustainability strategies. Programs must include American cultural elements or U.S. expert connections. The opportunity falls under three CFDA programs (19.022, 19.040, and 19.441) focused on educational/cultural exchange, public diplomacy, and American Spaces. The U.S. Embassy Addis Ababa manages this opportunity, though specific funding amounts are not indicated in the template. All proposed programs must align with one of three embassy priorities: strengthening democratic institutions, spurring economic growth, or advancing regional peace and security.
