About this file

This statement of work describes requirements for high voltage power supplies to support an Electrostatic Discharge Safety Program. The Naval Sea Systems Command is soliciting these power supplies through solicitation N0017424R0021 to support testing, analysis, assessment and certification of Navy and Marine Corps ordnance and weapons systems. The power supplies must be able to charge capacitors to voltages between 5-60kV, output low current but high voltage, include overcurrent, overvoltage and thermal protections, and utilize Ethernet interfaces for remote control without connecting to networks. The supplies will support electrostatic discharge generator research and characterization conducted by the Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity's technical agent.

STATEMENT OF WORK

Electrostatic Discharge Safety Program for Ordnance

High Voltage Power Supply

The Electrostatic Discharge Safety (ESD) Program for Ordnance, are the designate technical agent for the

Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity (NOSSA) technical authority warrant. The ESD tech agent mission is to test, analyze, assess and certify Navy/Marine Corp Ordnance/Weapons Systems in accordance with the Navy ESD requirements. These high voltage power supplies from will support the

ESD test efforts. The high voltage but low current capabilities of the power supplies fits the need for the

ESD team to charge a 500pf capacitor to 5kV, 10kV, 15kV, 20kV, and 25kV for the PESD generator, and will have the ability to be used for the 300kV HESD Marx generator, where it will charge six (6) 1000pf capacitors to 50kV. The ability for the power supplies to output 60kV being modular and rack mounted will support the research and characterization the ESD team does in support of many of the Navy/

Marine Corp programs. The power supplies also have built-in short-circuit, arc, overload, and thermal protection. The power supplies come with Ethernet Interface that utilizes Virtual RS-232 as a means to control them remotely. The use of the Ethernet interface will not involve being connected to any RDTE network or to the internet, and only connect to other lab equipment
