About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUCISD) for Employee Uniform Services. The district is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide an annual contract for uniform rental with weekly laundry service for several departments across the district. The RFP outlines the uniform technical specifications, quantities, delivery locations, implementation timelines, quality control procedures, and maintenance requirements. SCUCISD serves over 15,475 students across 17 campuses and has approximately 1,925 employees. Proposals are due by April 25, 2024, and the contract is intended to begin on May 31, 2024 for an initial one-year term with up to three one-year renewal options.
The RFP requires bidders to provide pricing for uniform rental and laundry services, as well as the rental and maintenance of miscellaneous items like aprons, towels, and floor mats. Bidders may also offer additional services or garment purchase options. Pricing is requested on a per employee per week basis, with the district requiring a minimum of 11 uniform changes per employee. The RFP outlines specific evaluation criteria focused on cost, services provided, uniform quality, and vendor qualifications and experience. SCUCISD reserves the right to award the contract to the bidder that provides the greatest overall value, not necessarily the lowest price.
