About this file
This document is an Addendum to RFP 2024-P05 Delinquent District and County Court Fines and Fees Collection Services issued by Hays County, Texas. The RFP seeks a well-qualified law firm to provide delinquent District and County Court Fines and Fees collection services pursuant to the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. The RFP has a question deadline of January 25, 2024 at 5:00 PM. The anticipated award date is March 2024, with the contract to be effective in April 2024. The current contract has been in place since 2016 and auto-renews annually until terminated.
The RFP does not include a pricing page, but bidders should review the relevant Texas Code of Criminal Procedure articles for fee structures. The current incumbent, McCreary Veselka Bragg & Allen, has provided services since 2016, and the County is satisfied with the current services. In the most recent fiscal year, the County paid approximately $1,479 for these services. The County is seeking to award a single contract and will not be utilizing a secondary vendor. The total value of the delinquent accounts available for placement is $4.3 million across approximately 1,580 District and County Court cases.
