About this file

This document is an Addendum No. 1 issued by the Brazos River Authority (BRA) related to RFP No. 24-1330 for the Morris Sheppard Dam Bay 9 Transition Beam and Weir Box project. The RFP seeks qualifications from respondents to conduct engineering assessment, investigation, design, and construction phase services for this large high hazard dam project in Palo Pinto County, Texas. The services may include assessment of leakage in Bay 9 Transition Beam, assessment, repair, or replacement of Bay 9 Weir Box, and associated civil, geotechnical, structural, chemical, and forensic structural engineering. The addendum provides clarification on the 20-page limit for submittals, confirming that certain required forms and documents do not count towards the limit.

The addendum also addresses questions related to the required information for proposed engineers, clarifying that the BRA only needs to see the PE Branch detail for structural engineers. There are no details provided on pricing, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements or sources, or contract term and renewal options.

Questions and Answers

Q1: Related to page 6, Question 3 – Will you please confirm that the required forms for TAB C, HUB Plan, and Section Tabs/Covers do not count toward the 20-page limit (in addition to already stated no count for resumes)?

A1: The suggested 20-page limit on submittals applies to items in Tab A and

Tab B with the noted exception of resumes. Item requirements in Tab C, HUB Plan and any cover pages, table of contents, section covers, etc. do not apply to the suggested 20-page limit.

Q2: Related to page 7, TAB B, Question 3 - Does the BRA want to see the branch of engineering for all proposed engineers, or just the ones with the II or 16-hour exams?

A2: We only need to see the PE Branch detail for Structural Engineers.

Sincerely, Allison Sheeler Purchasing Agent
