About this file
This document is a solicitation from the City of Leander, Texas for the implementation of an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solution for its water utility. The City is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a turnkey AMI solution, with a focus on conservation, demand-side management, and customer engagement. The project covers approximately 37.97 square miles within the City of Leander, which has an estimated population of 90,000 and over 30,000 water meters, with a future build-out population of about 225,000. The City intends to use federal American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds as well as supplement with its own funds to finance the project.
The solicitation requires vendors to provide detailed technical information across six elements of the AMI system: metrology, network communication, system integration, data management, customer and utility portal, and implementation and sustainable operations and maintenance. Vendors are expected to submit their responses through the City's e-procurement system, Bonfire, and are responsible for periodically checking the Bonfire website for any updates or addenda to the solicitation.
