About this file

This document is an amendment to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Offer No. IW168726 for the lease of a license plate reading system. The amendment extends the offer opening date to January 8, 2024 and provides responses to vendor questions. The TDCJ is seeking to establish a 60-month lease for a license plate reading system, with interest in both solar and hard-wired systems. The agency will provide the installation locations upon award. There is no scoring matrix, as this is not a Request for Proposal. The TDCJ is open to both lease and purchase options, and vendors are encouraged to specify which they can offer.

Regarding pricing, the TDCJ states that the good faith effort for HUB requirements of 21.1% must be met, but not meeting the full requirement does not disqualify a vendor. The TDCJ reserves the right to make an award in the best interest of the State. No further details on pricing, funding sources, or incumbents are provided.
