About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) regarding Virtual and Augmented Reality Training Solutions. The RFI seeks to identify sources that can provide VR and AR training solutions to train TXDPS's commissioned personnel on topics such as defensive tactics, firearms, use of force, de-escalation, and crisis response. The RFI covers jurisdictions within Travis County and the City of Austin, Texas. The addendum provides questions and answers related to the technical requirements, target number of participants, room/space size, budgetary estimates, training preferences, and timelines, though the TXDPS states that specific details will be provided if a solicitation is pursued in the future.
The RFI does not include pricing terms, set asides, incumbent information, funding requirements, or award details, as it is intended to gather market research and information rather than solicit bids. The TXDPS has designated a specific email address for public information requests related to this RFI.
