About this file

This document is an addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for pre-construction and construction phase services for the 49,000 GSF Renovation of Building 701 at the Texas Medical Center in Harris County and the City of Houston, Texas. The project scope includes exterior building modifications and site work. The addendum provides clarification on the required proposal deliverables due on December 4th, which include two bound hard copies of the proposal responding to criteria 1-7, one copy on a USB, and a separate sealed envelope with the HUB plan. It also confirms the construction start date is August 2024 with a substantial completion date of February 2026 for an 18-month estimated construction schedule. The addendum responds to several questions from prospective bidders regarding the project timeline, deliverables, and HUB requirements.

The RFP requires bidders to provide a work progress schedule identifying critical processes, phases, milestones, approvals, and procurements. Bidders must also outline their internal processes and procedures to ensure the HUB goal for the project is met. This state and local contract opportunity is being solicited by Harris County and the City of Houston, Texas.
