About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 304T-24-565A1.1 issued by the Statewide Procurement Division (SPD), a division of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA). The IFB requests sealed responses for innersprings, with a major customer being the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). The addendum extends the response and sample due dates to December 6, 2023, at 1:30 pm central time. It also updates the sample requirements, allowing respondents bidding on multiple line items with identical specifications, aside from coil count and unit length/width, to submit a single sample. Respondents must identify the applicable line items and verify the identical specifications.
The contract will be awarded to multiple vendors across multiple jurisdictions, including Travis County and the cities of Austin. Pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, funding sources, and other salient details were not provided in the addendum. Respondents must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and returning it with their response, as failure to do so may result in disqualification.

All samples must be fully-assembled innerspring units.
Question and Answer
Question 1: I was looking over the innerspring bid and wanted to know if all sizes are needed to run tests?
Would it be possible for us to send you a few of them as opposed to the entire list? For example, instead of sending a twin, full, and queen size innerspring, of a given specification, I can send the twin size for testing.
Answer 1: Yes, subject to the requirements in Part A, Section A.7.3. Refer to Section A.7.3 and the update in
No. 1, above.
