About this file
This document is Addendum 2 to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2023-078 for a Master Developer for Downtown Waco Mixed-Use Projects issued by the City of Waco, Texas and McLennan County. The project presents an opportunity to redevelop over 60 acres in downtown Waco along the Brazos River, including the city hall, convention center, and public spaces. Waco's central location and attractions like the Magnolia Silos have fueled growth, creating a need for investment in the future of Downtown Waco's live, work, and play identity. The deadline for submitting qualifications is November 13, 2023.
The RFQ does not provide specific pricing terms or set-asides. It is a qualifications-based solicitation to identify a master developer for the mixed-use project. Funding sources and amounts are not specified, but the project is intended to leverage Waco's and McLennan County's key institutions and regional draw to spur private investment in the downtown area.
