About this file
This document is an amendment to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) for the procurement of trophy plaques for the Wynne Unit in Huntsville, Texas. The original bid opening date has been extended from October 25, 2023 to October 27, 2023. The IFB provides clarification on several questions raised by prospective bidders, including the requirements for the trophy plaques (blank), the acceptability of alternate products, and the necessary supporting documentation to be submitted with the bids. The IFB also specifies that the bidder's tax identification number and completion of the I-9 form may be required. Additionally, the IFB provides information on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) and the use of adhesive pads for hanging the awards.
The IFB is for the procurement of trophy plaques only, with no engraving required. The plaques must be delivered blank, and alternates will be considered if a specification submittal is provided for TDCJ's review. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the best value to the state and local jurisdictions, which include Walker County and several locations within the City of Houston.
