About this file
This document is an Addendum 1 - Q&A for Request for Proposal (RFP) 784-24-1903 for a Library Book Detection System issued by the University of Houston-Downtown. The RFP is seeking proposals to install a new book detection system for the University of Houston-Downtown W.I. Dykes Library. The addendum provides answers to questions from potential bidders regarding requirements such as an incumbency certificate, bonding letter, HUB Subcontracting Plan, and the order of response. It clarifies that the vendor is only responsible for the de-installation of the existing detection system, not its disposal. The addendum also confirms that the HECVAT and VPAT documents will not count towards the 30-page proposal limit.
The related state and local contract opportunity is open to vendors in the jurisdictions of Harris County and various cities within Houston, Texas. The contract will be awarded to the successful bidder, but the document does not provide details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other financial information.
