About this file
This document is an addendum to a solicitation issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Procurement and Contract Services for an Appointment Solution. The purpose of the addendum is to post vendor questions and responses. The solicitation seeks an appointment scheduling solution to serve DPS Driver License Division customers across multiple locations in Travis County and the City of Austin. Key requirements include complex scheduling needs, third-party payment processing, customer support, interactive voice response system integration, and reporting capabilities. The solicitation has an anticipated start date of February 1, 2023, but a specific project timeline was not provided.
The solicitation indicates the DPS currently uses a third-party vendor, Texas.gov, for payment processing. The Department is open to innovative software-based solutions and does not require any specific hardware, though vendors may propose hardware as part of their solutions. Historical appointment data for the past five years will be provided to the awarded vendor. The solicitation does not mention any incumbent vendor or the current solution's performance.
