About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) for the LARC Renovation project. The purpose of this $15 million project is to expand the current LARC space in the basement of Pod C on the TTUHSC Lubbock campus to meet future research community needs and aid in the expansion of Biomedical Research. The renovated space will create a facility with complete bio-exclusion from the existing LARC, requiring a decontamination room and bulk autoclave. Phasing of the work is critical to avoid disruption to the active research operations. Proposals are due on March 9, 2023 at 3:00 PM and should be submitted through the e-Builder Bid Portal. The evaluation criteria include the quality and qualifications of the proposed project team, the firm's experience with CMAR delivery for higher education projects, and the HUB contracting commitment. The anticipated construction schedule is to be determined following the selection of the CMAR.
The RFQ requires proposers to provide information on their company, project team, and past relevant experience. Proposers must also submit their HUB contracting commitment and plan. TTUHSC is seeking to utilize HUB companies for a minimum of 21.1% of the total contract amount. The HUB Subcontracting Plan must be updated throughout the project duration.
