About this file
This document is an Addendum to RFP730-23020 Educational Travel Services issued by the University of Houston System. The RFP seeks proposals to provide educational travel services for an international trip to Barranquilla and Cartagena, Colombia in May 2023 for approximately 20-24 participants from the University of Houston and an additional 10 participants from Hampton University. The RFP requires respondents to coordinate accommodation, transportation, meals, and administrative and logistics management services, with a preference for 14 days of on-the-ground support including travel days.
The Addendum addresses questions related to financial documentation requirements and the applicability of the HECVAT IT questionnaire. The financial documentation requirement can be satisfied by providing audited financials for 2021 and a certificate of good standing from the respondent's state. The HECVAT questionnaire is deemed not applicable for this travel services RFP.

ADDENDUM 1
RFP730-23020 Educational Travel Services
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
THIS ADDENDUM 1 IS FOR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS POSTED TO THE ESBD ON 11/29/2022.
1. The RFP requires that we “Provide a Financial rating of your company and any documentation (such as a Dunn and Bradstreet analysis), which indicates the financial stability of your company.” As we do not have a Dunn and Bradstreet analysis, we would like to submit instead a certificate of good standing from the Commonwealth for state. Will this be enough to satisfy this requirement?
ANSWER: If you do not have Dunn and Bradstreet please provide a copy of your audit financials for calendar year 2021 and copy of certificate of good standing from the Commonwealth for your state.
2. Regarding Section 4.6 Information Technology Requirements, this is the first time we saw a HECVAT questionnaire. Just the HECVAT “Lite” version has approximately 100 questions and many are non-applicable for a travel service company. We assume that this is not relevant as there are no travel service companies listed as a HECVAT vendor. Can you please provide clarification if the HECVAT questionnaire is required to submit for this specific RFP?
ANSWER: NOT APPLICABLE
3. Can you please advise approximately how many students and faculty you anticipate to travel on this program?
ANSWER: Approximately 20-24 participants from the University of Houston. Our colleagues at Hampton University will separately reach out to the awarded company with 10 additional participants.
