About this file
This document is an addendum to an open enrollment issued by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) on behalf of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Child Protective Services (CPS) for Supplemental Caregiver Services. The open enrollment is seeking contractors to provide qualified supplemental caregiver services in DFPS Region 07 to support the safety and appropriate monitoring of children and youth under DFPS supervision. The addendum updates several sections of the open enrollment, including the introduction, point of contact, application requirements, training requirements, shift cancellation policies, and invoicing procedures.
The open enrollment is limited to DFPS Region 07, and applicants must submit their application and required forms to provide services in that region. Supplemental caregivers are required to complete several training courses prior to providing direct client services, including Preventing and Recognizing Youth Sexual Abuse, Trauma Informed Care, and Human Trafficking Foundations training. The addendum also includes provisions for DFPS to compensate contractors if a requested shift is cancelled without sufficient notice.
