About this file

This is an Attachment G Requirements and Specifications document for Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 304T-27-810A1 issued by the State of Texas for brine spraying equipment. The solicitation requests skid-mounted and trailer-mounted chemical spray systems in multiple configurations: three skid-mounted options for 1-ton trucks (200, 300, and 500-gallon tanks), three skid-mounted options for 10-cubic yard dump trucks (1,250-1,325 gallons with gasoline or hydraulic engines, and 1,600-1,650 gallons), and one trailer-mounted system (4,000-4,200 gallons). Referenced manufacturers include Wylie Manufacturing and Varitech systems. The specifications document functions as a checklist that respondents must complete by entering "Y" or "N" responses and providing required information in designated text boxes for each product offered; modification of the document outside of completing these cells may result in disqualification.

The specifications establish detailed technical requirements for tank construction, frame/skid assembly, spray bar systems, pump assemblies, control systems, plumbing, and accessories across all equipment lines. All tanks must be polyethylene with liquid gravity capacity between 1.5 and 1.9, high-temperature tolerance of 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and include saddle straps and sight gauges where applicable. Frame and skid components must be hot-dipped galvanized (not painted) for corrosion resistance, fully welded, and include stainless steel or e-coated hardware. Spray bars must be stainless steel with adjustable nozzles capable of 1-to-3 lane coverage, while pump assemblies require electric-start gasoline engines or approved hydraulic alternatives with specified flow rates, horsepower, and inlet/outlet dimensions. Control assemblies must include in-cab controllers with 3-lane capability and coordinate with electronic or closed-loop systems, and all plumbing must use poly, stainless steel, or e-coated materials with stainless steel fasteners and clamps.
