About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the State of Texas for the development and implementation of a Physical Therapy Peer-Review Continuing Competence Approval System. The project seeks to establish a comprehensive system enabling peer-review processes for physical therapy continuing competence approval. The RFP outlines requirements for a vendor to design, develop, and deploy a digital platform that facilitates peer evaluation and competence verification for physical therapists. The proposal submission deadline is identified within the document, with the contract term extending through 2026 and potentially including renewal options for continued system operation and maintenance.

The RFP establishes pricing and compensation terms negotiable through the proposal submission process, with specific set-asides and small business considerations potentially applicable to qualifying vendors. The project is funded through state appropriations, with the Texas state government serving as the contracting authority. Key requirements include system functionality for peer-review workflows, competence assessment documentation, and administrative reporting capabilities. The vendor selected will be responsible for ongoing system maintenance, user support, and potential enhancements throughout the contract term. Preference may be given to vendors demonstrating experience in healthcare professional licensing systems and digital platform administration within regulatory environments.
