About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in collaboration with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) for the Ready Workforce Training Pipeline initiative. The RFI seeks information from potential vendors and stakeholders regarding the development and implementation of a comprehensive workforce training program designed to prepare individuals for in-demand careers and support Texas's economic competitiveness. The initiative focuses on creating pathways that connect education, training, and employment opportunities across the state. Respondents are expected to provide detailed information about their capacity, experience, and proposed approaches to delivering workforce training services. The RFI does not specify a single contract award date but rather functions as an information-gathering phase to inform future procurement activities. The document outlines a structured process for interested parties to submit feedback and capability statements, with specific instructions for response formatting and submission procedures.
The RFI emphasizes collaboration between state agencies and the importance of aligning workforce development efforts with regional labor market needs and employer demands. Funding for the Ready Workforce Training Pipeline is anticipated to come from state appropriations and potentially federal workforce development grants, though specific budget amounts are not detailed in this informational phase. The initiative is open to various service providers, including educational institutions, training organizations, and workforce development entities. No incumbent contractor is identified, as this represents the preliminary phase of program development. The RFI indicates that responses will inform the design of future formal solicitations and potential contract opportunities, making this a critical opportunity for vendors to establish their qualifications and approach for participation in the program's implementation.
