About this file
This Request for Quotes (RFQ) is issued by the West Travis County Public Utility Agency (WTCPUA) for the furnishing and installation of raw water ball valves and related services at the WTCPUA Water Treatment Plant located in Austin, Texas. The project requires the replacement of four motor-operated metal seated ball valves for raw water service, consisting of one 10-inch valve and three 16-inch valves, along with removal of existing valves, crane services, installation materials, and commissioning support. The equipment specifications are based on the DeZURIK VBL AWWA Metal Seated Ball Valve configuration with AUMA modulating actuators operating at 480V. Quotes are due by 12:00 PM on September 2, 2026, with public opening scheduled for 1:30 PM the same day at the WTCPUA office in Bee Cave, Texas. A site visit is strongly recommended prior to quote submission, with vendors responsible for verifying existing conditions, access requirements, lifting requirements, and shutdown constraints. The RFQ does not specify an award date or contract term.
Vendors must submit itemized quotes that clearly separate pricing into seven line items including valve costs, removal and disposal, labor and installation materials, crane rental and rigging services, freight and mobilization, and any additional required charges. Quote packages must include estimated equipment lead time, anticipated field work duration, proposed project schedule, and earliest available mobilization date. Qualified vendors must demonstrate experience performing large-diameter water treatment plant valve removal and replacement work and must comply with all applicable safety requirements and site rules. Warranty terms for valves, actuators, workmanship, and installation materials must be identified. WTCPUA reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive informalities, and award in the best interest of the Agency. No specific funding source, set-asides, or incumbent information is identified in the RFQ.
