About this file

This is a product specification document issued by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the procurement of fully equipped remote network control units with cellular backup capabilities, mounting hardware, and warranty coverage. The specification details five line items required for the contract: (1) a remote network control unit (WTI #REM-4R4-1-NE or approved equal) featuring minimum four RJ45 console ports, two USB ports, two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, four independently switchable AC power outlets, 100-120 VAC input power, and remote reboot, power control, console access, and out-of-band management capabilities; (2) a network redundancy module (WTI #NRR-E-REM or approved equal) with dual 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet interfaces supporting automatic failover between primary and secondary connections; (3) a 19-inch rack mounting kit (WTI #NRR-19RACK-REM or approved equal) including brackets and hardware for standard equipment rack installation; (4) a 4G LTE cellular modem (WTI #W4G-NAM-REM or approved equal) supporting North American carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) with SIM-based connectivity for failover network capability; and (5) an advance replacement warranty (WTI #NR-ADVRE2 or approved equal) providing minimum two-year coverage.

The specification permits bidders to propose TxDOT-approved equal products as alternatives to the specified WTI equipment. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, response dates, due dates, award timelines, contract term duration, renewal options, funding amounts, or other procurement details are included in this specification document.
