About this file
Music Therapy Services - BCVDDP
This is a solicitation document from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHS) for music therapy services to support the Brain and Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Support Program (BCVDDP). The procurement seeks qualified music therapy service providers to deliver therapeutic interventions for individuals with cognitive impairments and dementia. The contract requires providers to deliver evidence-based music therapy sessions with documented clinical outcomes and participant engagement metrics. The solicitation outlines specific service delivery requirements, participant assessment protocols, and documentation standards. Response submissions were required by the specified deadline, with contract award anticipated following evaluation of qualified bids. The contract term includes an initial service period with potential renewal options contingent upon performance metrics and continued program funding availability.
Pricing structures are to be submitted as part of the bid proposal, with payment terms tied to documented service delivery hours and verified participant attendance. The contract may include set-asides for historically underutilized businesses or minority-owned enterprises as applicable under Texas procurement regulations. Funding for this initiative derives from HHS appropriated budgets allocated to support cognitive health and dementia care services within the state system. All service providers must meet Texas state licensing and certification requirements for music therapy practitioners and comply with HHS compliance and credentialing standards. The procurement prioritizes providers with demonstrated experience serving populations with dementia and cognitive decline, with emphasis on culturally competent service delivery methodologies.
