About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for laundry services at Panhandle State Hospital. The RFI seeks information from potential vendors regarding their capabilities to provide comprehensive laundry services, including the washing, drying, and processing of linens, uniforms, and other textile items required for hospital operations. The document outlines the hospital's current laundry service needs and requests detailed responses from interested parties regarding their experience, equipment, capacity, staffing, quality assurance processes, and pricing structures. Responses to this RFI are intended to inform the agency's procurement process and help establish a competitive solicitation. The RFI serves as a preliminary information-gathering tool rather than a formal bid opportunity, allowing the state to better understand the market and vendor qualifications before issuing a formal Request for Proposal.
The RFI does not establish binding pricing or contract terms at this stage but requests vendors to provide cost estimates and service pricing models for consideration during subsequent formal procurement phases. No specific set-asides, incumbent information, or predetermined award amounts are indicated in this information request. The document is designed to assess vendor capacity and market conditions to inform the development of more detailed solicitation requirements. Respondents are encouraged to provide comprehensive information about their laundry service operations, technology capabilities, regulatory compliance, and references from similar healthcare facility clients to support the state's evaluation of potential service providers for this essential hospital function.
