About this file

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is issued by Teague Independent School District in Teague, Texas, for architectural services to support November 2026 bond projects. The district seeks qualified architectural firms to provide comprehensive architectural planning, design, and construction documentation for two primary projects: Project A, a new elementary expansion with a multi-purpose room, and Project B, a new varsity gym. Selected architects will be responsible for all design work, preparation of construction documents with required architect and engineer seals, and coordination with district personnel, consultants, and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contractors. Firms must submit five hard copies and one digital copy (PDF format on thumb drive) of their qualification statements to Leslie Cockerham, Business Office Specialist, by 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The architect selection schedule includes a request for qualifications release on Thursday, May 21, 2026, interviews scheduled for the week of July 13-17, 2026, and contract negotiation anticipated for Tuesday, July 28, 2026, with board recommendation and approval to follow.

Evaluation criteria are weighted as follows: AIA Qualification Statement (5 points), References (30 points), General Firm Information and Experience (25 points), Technical Competence (20 points), and Capability to Perform (10 points). Respondents must submit seven required exhibits including felony conviction notice, conflict of interest questionnaire, debarment/suspension certification, non-collusion statement, IRS Form W-9, statutorily required certifications (covering boycotts of Israel and energy companies, foreign terrorist organization restrictions, and non-discrimination regarding firearms industries), and Certificate of Interested Parties (Form 1295) filed electronically. Questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted in writing to Craig Carpenter, Director of Maintenance & Operations, at craig.carpenter@teagueisd.org. No pricing information is specified in the RFQ, as this is a qualifications-based selection process; final contract terms will be negotiated with selected firm(s) subject to Board of Trustees approval.
