About this file

This is Addendum 1 to a Request for Bids (RFB 26BCP03B) issued by Bastrop County, Texas for the Rivers Crossing Subdivision Asphalt Replacement Project. The project involves asphalt replacement work within the Rivers Crossing Subdivision, with a pre-bid meeting held on March 27, 2026 at the project site. Sealed bids must be received by April 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM and submitted to 1041 Lovers Lane, Bastrop, Texas 78602. The addendum addresses questions raised by contractors during the pre-bid meeting and clarifies project parameters, including sprinkler system coordination with the HOA, unrestricted working hours, acceptable use of recycled asphalt pavement up to TxDOT standards, and spoil disposal at a Bastrop County-designated location within one mile of the site. Contractors must coordinate spoil drop-off with the County Road and Bridge Precinct Commissioner and Foreman.

The addendum clarifies that bid bonds are not required; however, payment and performance bonds will be required if the total bid price reaches the State of Texas threshold for public works projects. Two large concrete sections exist beneath the existing roadway but do not require removal as they are deeper than the scope of work requires. Contractors should not account for concrete removal in their bids, though any unforeseen concrete-related issues discovered during construction will be addressed through a change order negotiated between the contractor and Bastrop County. Respondents must acknowledge and return a signed copy of Addendum 1 with their sealed bid submission, with failure to do so potentially resulting in automatic disqualification.
