About this file

This specification document issued by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in December 2025 outlines the procurement requirements for an OEM-certified replacement part for pavement testing equipment. Specifically, the procurement seeks one new M1270 2-Axis Transducer (Item No. 2000211), which is a replacement component for the Dynatest 1295 Pavement Friction Tester. The deliverable must be supplied as a new, OEM-certified part and include a trade-in core (M1270 Transducer Billet). The equipment must be delivered to the TxDOT Austin District facility located at 5501 N FM 973 Rd., Austin, TX 78724. No specific response dates, bid due dates, site visits, bidders' conferences, or award dates are referenced in this specification document.

The specification requires that all materials be current production items of high quality, with no used, shopworn, demonstrator, prototype, reconditioned, or discontinued parts acceptable. The vendor must provide a material warranty of not less than 12 months covering 100 percent parts and labor, commencing upon TxDOT's acceptance, or the manufacturer's standard warranty period if it exceeds 12 months. The vendor must indicate the trade-in core credit amount on the pricing schedule. TxDOT will monitor vendor performance on a regular basis, with unsatisfactory performance potentially resulting in negative performance reports, contract cancellation, and other remedies. Exceptional performance may be recognized for early delivery, product upgrades at no additional cost, or exceptional customer service.
