The City will prioritize projects that actively involve neighborhood stakeholders, avoid over-saturation of affordable housing, demonstrate high-quality design and construction, show successful management of similar developments, and identify a selected site. Potential funding sources include 9% Housing Tax Credits through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds for acquisition, infrastructure, new construction, and other eligible expenses.
