About this file

This Scope of Work document pertains to Burnet County, Texas and outlines specifications for upgrading the fire alarm system at the Burnet County Jail Facility located at 900 County Lane, Burnet, Texas 78611. The project involves two primary components: upgrading the existing Edwards EST3 fire alarm system and implementing a new incident management software solution with integrated hardware and networking equipment. The fire alarm system upgrade includes updating EST3 data cards to the latest generation, replacing all old EST smoke, heat, and duct detectors with current models, installing newest-generation EST detector guards and duct mount devices, uploading and reconciling device maps, programming all fire and new devices, and ensuring compatibility with carbon monoxide monitors in boiler rooms to meet State Fire Marshall Standards. The incident management system must be fully operational and networked with the upgraded fire alarm system, with all cabling and hardware provided by the vendor. The document does not specify response dates, due dates, site visits, bidders' meetings, or award dates.

The incident management system must allow operators to program defined responses to facility events that trigger automatically, enable remote monitoring and management of events, convert and upload facility floor plans with mapped device locations, integrate facility maps with live video and audio feeds for incident management, and provide mass notification capabilities for events. The contractor is responsible for supplying all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to complete the project. The document does not contain information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources, or contract term and renewal options.
