About this file

This is Addendum 1 to the construction specifications for the AI Engineering Building Stop Water Infiltration project, issued by Treanor HL, Inc. on October 15, 2025, for SSC Services for Education at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. The addendum modifies the original contract documents for an above-grade exterior waterproofing project with a planned construction period from December 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026. The addendum encompasses 82 pages of revisions including pre-bid meeting minutes, responses to emailed questions, modifications to seven drawing sheets (A101, A201, A202, A203, A204, A311, and A502), and substantial modifications to specification sections covering unit prices, proposal forms, historic removal and dismantling, historic brick masonry repair, and historic cast stone and stone masonry repair. Key clarifications address contractor limitations during finals (December 11-16, 2025) and graduation (December 18-19, 2025), tree protection requirements on site, hazardous materials handling procedures, warranty scope, pipe removal designation, lintel repair specifications, and shoring design requirements for cast stone support during lintel replacement.

The addendum introduces additional unit pricing items for stone joint repointing and marble patch repair and establishes a $30,000 cash allowance for masonry materials to be selected by the architect during construction. Hazardous materials testing and abatement will be provided by SSC and conducted in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and State of Texas requirements, with exterior abatement projects excluded from air monitoring regulations. Construction testing allowances are incorporated for brick diagnostics and water infiltration testing as part of the masonry specifications. The modifications clarify measurement units for crack stitch and inject repairs from linear feet to area, add mockup requirements for stone repointing, lintel repair, and lintel replacement, and establish contractor responsibilities for developing shoring designs during lintel installation work. The document confirms that the original proposal submission deadline was November 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a mandatory pre-proposal meeting held on September 30, 2025.
