About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) for Real Estate Brokerage Services throughout Texas. The solicitation seeks to pre-qualify and enter into open agreements with one or more real estate brokerage firms specializing in leasing retail, office, and medical space, as well as purchasing and selling land and buildings. MDACC aims to establish multiple vendor agreements to provide comprehensive real estate services across the state, with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous service requests. The RFP covers services including dispositions, acquisitions, lease representations, contract negotiations, and optional advisory services.

The proposal includes a 26% Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) participation goal and will evaluate vendors based on qualifications, project team, and approach to services. Compensation for most services will be payable by the transaction counterparty (seller, purchaser, or lessee) rather than MDACC directly. The RFP allows for multiple vendor selections to ensure geographic coverage and service capabilities, with an emphasis on providing professional real estate advice, market analysis, transaction management, and strategic planning for MDACC's diverse property needs across Texas.

Description of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (“MDACC” or “University”)

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is one of the world's most respected centers focused on cancer patient care, research, education, and prevention. It was named the nation's No. 1 hospital for cancer care in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 rankings.

It is one of the nation's original three comprehensive cancer centers designated by the National Cancer Institute. Since 1944, more than 2 million people have turned to MD Anderson for cancer care.
