About this file

This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 304T-26-120A1 issued by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Statewide Procurement Division for Rescue Gear. The solicitation seeks a comprehensive rescue gear kit consisting of seven specific items: a water rescue vest, helmet bump, whistle, car escape tool, carabiner, water rescue throw bag, and a large heavy-duty mesh duffle bag. The kit is designed for public safety and swift water rescue professionals, with detailed specifications for each item including precise dimensions, materials, colors, and performance requirements.

The bid documents outline extensive technical specifications for each gear component, emphasizing safety, durability, and functionality. Items must meet specific certification standards, such as USCG approvals, CE/UIAA certifications, and NFPA requirements. The water rescue vest, for example, requires high buoyancy, visibility features, and a universal size range, while the throw bag must have specific rope strength and length characteristics. The procurement appears focused on acquiring high-quality, specialized equipment for emergency rescue operations, with careful attention to professional-grade standards and performance metrics.
