About this file

This document is a Material Producer List issued by the Texas Department of Transportation's Materials & Test Division, dated November 13, 2024, focusing on pre-approved thermoplastic pipe, joints, and fittings. The document provides comprehensive details on two types of pre-qualified thermoplastic pipes: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polypropylene (PP), listing specific manufacturers, their production locations, and pipe specifications. Each table includes information about pipe diameters ranging from 12 to 48 inches and maximum fill depth measurements for different backfill types (granular, cement stabilized, and flowable).

The document outlines that the Texas Department of Transportation reserves the right to conduct random sampling, testing, and visual inspections of materials from approved manufacturers, with the potential for Department representatives to sample materials directly from manufacturing plants. The Material & Tests Division can test samples to verify compliance with DMS-4710 standards. Two primary manufacturers are highlighted: Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. and Prinsco, Inc., with multiple production locations across different states. Interested parties can contact the Material & Tests Division at DMS_Prequal@txdot.gov for additional information about the pre-qualified thermoplastic pipe materials.
