About this file

This document is a solicitation (Solicitation Number: 582-25-10662) for a Zero Air Generator, issued by a state agency located in Austin, Texas. The specification details a Self-Contained Clean Air Supply System designed to produce clean, dry, pollutant-free air for dilution of calibration gas in air monitoring systems. The system must generate up to 20 standard liters per minute of air at 30 psig using an oil-free and diaphragm-free pump, with extremely low contaminant levels for various gases including sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, ozone, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons. Delivery is specified within 120 calendar days after order receipt to 12100 Park 35 Circle, Building B, Austin, Texas 78753.

The solicitation requires the equipment to be new, of current production, and include manufacturer's standard parts and accessories. Two sets of comprehensive manuals must accompany each instrument, covering operating instructions, circuit descriptions, maintenance, and service details. The warranty period is a minimum of two years after acceptance, with a complete coverage of systems, parts, and labor. Upon receipt, the goods will be tested within 30 working days, and payment will be made within 30 working days after successful testing or invoice receipt, whichever is later. The unit has specific technical requirements, including operating on 105-125 VAC, consuming less than 700 watts, weighing under 65 pounds, and having dimensions not exceeding 9" high by 17" wide by 24" deep.

Specifications for 20 Standard Liters Per Minute Self- Contained Clean Air Supply System

Description: Used to produce clean, dry, pollutant free air used for dilution of calibration gas in air monitoring systems.

MINIMUM GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

1. Self-Contained Clean Air Supply System shall meet the following requirements:

2. The unit shall be capable of maintaining an output flow up to 20 standard liters per minute (SLPM) at 30 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) continuously using an oil-free and diaphragm free pump.

3. Dew point of output air shall be less than negative (-) 10 degrees Celsius (°C).

4. The sulfur dioxide (SO2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) content of output air shall be less than (<) 0.1 parts per billion (ppb).

5. The nitrogen oxide (NO) content of output air shall be <0.1 ppb.

6. The nitrogen dioxide (NO2) content of output of air shall be <0.1 ppb.

7. The ozone (O3) content of output air shall be <0.4 ppb.

8. The carbon monoxide (CO) content of output air shall be <20 ppb.

9. The hydrocarbon content of the output air shall be <5 ppb.

10. The unit shall contain a CO and hydrocarbon scrubber.

11. Ambient operational temperature range shall be 10-40°C.

12. Electrical Characteristics:

12.1 The unit shall operate on 105-125 volts alternating current (VAC).

12.2 The unit shall not consume more than 700 watts of power.

13. Physical Characteristics:

13.1 The unit shall not exceed 65 pounds total weight.

13.2 The unit shall be bench mountable.

13.3 The unit shall be optionally rack mountable.

13.4 The maximum dimensions shall not exceed 9 inches (") high by 17" wide by 24" deep.

13.5 The unit shall have an internal storage tank.

13.6 The unit shall have an internal pressure switch that senses the pressure in the storage tank. This pressure switch shall be used to control the compressor.

13.7 The unit shall have an internal pressure regulator that shall be adjustable from 10-35 psig.

13.8 The unit shall have front panel mounted pressure gauge that shows the regulated air pressure available at the clean air output port.

13.9 The clean air output port shall accept 1/4" tubing.

13.10 The unit shall have a clean air output filter to trap particulate released by the unit.

13.11 All components shall be attached and/or internal to the unit. There shall be no splitting of the unit into two or more cabinets.
