About this file

The document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 554-25-012 issued by the Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) for hydraulic squeeze chutes. The IFB seeks to procure one hydraulic squeeze chute, with a reference model of SILENCER – Ranch Model, standard length, with specific detailed technical specifications. The bid is scheduled to be published on the Electronic State Business Daily on July 9th, 2025, with bid questions due by July 16th, 2025, and the response deadline set for July 30th, 2025 at 2:00 PM CST. The anticipated award date is in August 2025, with the chute to be delivered to the TAHC Central Office in Austin, TX.

The bid requires a comprehensive response including detailed product specifications, with the chute needing to meet extensive requirements such as specific dimensional ranges, steel frame construction, hydraulic features, and a carrier system. The vendor must provide a gasoline-powered hydraulic pump on a separate wheeled cart, with a connection hose between 30-40 feet long. The chute must include a minimum one-year warranty and be protected with a rust-inhibiting coating designed for heavy-duty agricultural use. Payment will be made in accordance with the Texas Prompt Payment Act, with electronic invoices preferred. The Texas Animal Health Commission is exempt from all state taxes, and the bid emphasizes that equivalent products to the reference model will be considered, provided the bidder includes published specifications for the alternative product.
