About this file
This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB No. 304T-25-550A2.1) issued by the Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (CPA) for a statewide procurement of Level III Truck Mounted Crash Attenuators. The specification details the procurement of traffic safety equipment, specifically a truck-mounted crash attenuator designed to protect personnel, equipment, and the public from highway work zone incidents. The equipment must meet stringent requirements including specific dimensional constraints (max 8 ft stored length, min 6 ft width), weight limitations (max 2,600 lbs), and comprehensive safety standards. The attenuator must be constructed of aluminum tubing, plastic cartridges, and steel brackets, with detailed specifications for mounting hardware, hydraulic tilt features, and lighting configurations.
The document includes optional emergency lighting specifications and extensive requirements for safety features, including reflective chevron striping, safety plaques, and multiple LED lighting configurations in amber and blue colors. The procurement includes a 12-month warranty covering 100% parts and labor, with provisions for authorized dealer support within 72 hours of notification. The specification allows for customer-approved equivalent products and provides detailed brand references and illustrations to guide potential vendors. The document emphasizes environmental considerations, encouraging manufacturers to use recycled materials and comply with industry standards for plastic part marking and safety regulations.
