About this file
The document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 304T-25-590A1.1 issued by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Statewide Procurement Division for Sewing Accessories and Supplies. The solicitation covers five specific product lines to be delivered primarily to the Gatesville, TX facility, with additional delivery locations in Abilene, Beeville, Colorado City, Huntsville, Lamesa, Lovelady, and Snyder, Texas. The products include knitted elastic, end rubber elastic webbing, elastic yarn, and two types of sock yarn, intended for manufacturing pants, shorts, boxers, and socks.
The specifications provide detailed technical requirements for each product line, including precise measurements, composition, color, packaging, and testing protocols. Each line has specific manufacturer references or approved equals, with tolerances for variations in width, elongation, weight, and other characteristics. The sample requirements and testing section outlines rigorous inspection criteria, including visual checks for damage, discoloration, and performance testing through manufacturing processes. The unit of measure varies by product line, with some measured in yards and others in pounds, and packaging requirements include protection against adverse weather conditions and potential palletization.
