About this file

This document is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the San Jacinto Community College District (SJCCD) for Welding Gases and Micro Bulk Tank Systems. SJCCD is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide delivery, installation, and service for industrial liquid argon and oxygen micro bulk tank systems, as well as supply the respective gases to accommodate the College's welding department and other various departments as needed. The scope of work includes supplying welding gases, turnkey installation of bulk tanks, equipment ownership and maintenance, option to purchase, delivery and emergency supply, safety standards and documentation, and training and support. The estimated annual spend for welding gases is $90,000. The RFP proposes a one-year contract term with four one-year renewal options.

The proposal response requirements include a Qualifications Form, attachments with a list of all cylinders and microbulk tanks, five references, exceptions to terms and conditions, and detailed pricing on installation, equipment rental, delivery charges, and other related costs. SJCCD does not give preference to historically underutilized or small businesses in the awarding of contracts, but the awarded contractor will be required to track and report the amount paid to any subcontractors along with their supplier diversity classification.
