About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation for Bid (IFB) 802-25-49409 issued by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) for the procurement of Global Positioning System (GPS) ungulate collars. The bid due date has been extended from October 2, 2024 to October 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM CT. The solicitation is for 135 collars, with 40 collars in the 800-900 gram weight range for elk and 95 collars in the 400-450 gram weight range for bighorn sheep, aoudad, mule deer, and pronghorn. The collars are required to have a minimum 3-year lifespan, with a GPS fix rate of every 2 hours and a data transmission rate of 4-12 hours. TPWD is seeking the best longevity while also requiring alerts for mortality events.
The contract will be awarded as a blanket contract for the requested GPS ungulate collars and associated service plans. Pricing terms, funding sources, and any set-asides were not provided in the Addendum. The Addendum indicates this is an active solicitation, with no information on incumbent contractors or the current contract environment.
