About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Statewide Procurement Division (SPD), a division of the Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) for the State of Texas, for pesticides, surfactants, and herbicides. The IFB, numbered 304T-25-675A2.2, provides detailed specifications for the products, including units of measurement, volumes, and proprietary product information. The delivery of the products would begin immediately upon contract award and would be on an as-needed basis. The IFB also includes a Mandatory Price Sheet with estimated quantities based on previous usage over a four-year period.
Regarding pricing, the IFB states that it will consider similar imported products for competitive rates, and provides guidance on the proprietary and referenced brand specifications for the various line items. The major customers for these items are the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Questions and Answers IFB No. 304T-25-675A2.2 Title:
Question No. Question Answer
Can you please explain in more detail what the units of measurements means and what volumes they correspond with?
DSE as a unit of measurement makes no sense to me.
Please reference Part A, Section A.7.3 Specifications for a detailed explanation of specifications, units of measure, and volume details. DSE is a unit of measure for Dose, Line 1 is a proprietary item that is measured in Prescription Dose Units.
2 Also, can you further clarify the products that should be used. I see company names, but the product names are not present.
Please reference Part A, Section A.7.3 Specifications for a detailed explanation of specifications.
3 What could be the delivery start date if bid is awarded? Delivery would begin immediately after award, when orders are received.
4 How often delivery will be made? In single delivery or fragmented delivery?
Quantities indicated for each item in the Mandatory Price Sheet are estimates only and are based upon previous usage for a four-year period. Ordering will be completed on an as needed basis.
5 Most Importantly we can supply imported similar products will it be considered for competitive rates?
Reference Part A, Section A.7.1 Proprietary Specifications for Line 1, and Reference Part A, Section A.7 Referenced Brand Examples for Lines 2-10.
6 Please clarify for the Line 1 in attachment for item 67590, what is UOM(unit of measurement) in PDU meant?
DSE is a unit of measure for Dose, Line 1 is a proprietary item that is measured in Prescription Dose Units.
