About this file
This document is a summary of work specification for a state and local government contract project issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS). The scope of work includes the installation of a new 100kW diesel generator with a 72-hour belly tank and associated electrical infrastructure at the Lufkin Driver's License Center. The project requires the removal of existing landscaping, paving, and generator equipment, as well as the installation of a new concrete pad, fencing, bollards, and landscaping. An alternate bid is requested for a dual-purpose docking station capable of load banking and portable generator connection. The contractor is required to schedule the work to minimize disruption to the facility's operations, and all work must be performed by qualified personnel with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The contract requires a 1-year warranty on the new materials and labor.
The document outlines the general requirements for product delivery, storage, and handling, including the provision of temporary facilities and controls. TXDPS will provide electrical service and water for construction use, while the contractor is responsible for all other utilities. The contractor must maintain a clean and secure work site, properly dispose of all waste, and restore any areas disturbed by the construction activities.
