About this file
This document is an Attachment to Addendum A-001 for a security guard contract for the Fort Worth District Office of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD). The contract is for security guard services during business hours, with no plans for 24-hour security. The current incumbent contractor is Applied Operations Security, but the length of their current contract and the total amount spent in the last 12 months are not provided. The scope of work requires a Level III Commissioned Security Officer, with no additional certifications needed. TJJD will provide a metal detector, while the awarded contractor must provide all other equipment. The contract does not allow for subcontractors, and there are no prevailing wage requirements. The estimated annual hours are forty hours per week, less state holidays.
Regarding pricing, TJJD stated they will not bill any additional rates. The total dollar amount spent last year is not provided, but the agency indicated no additional services beyond the scope of work will be needed. TJJD instructed bidders to refer to the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Quick Checklist to determine the appropriate subcontracting commitment percentage, with a goal of 26% for Texas-certified HUB vendors.
